How can one celebrate Labor Day when so many are out of work, no jobs available or only at minimum wage? With the continuing raise in taxes, required healthcare, and ever increasing cost of living, who can afford hotdogs, hamburgers or buns? It’s not a paid holiday for most of us lucky enough to be employed.
Rather than Federal employees using our taxpayer money for another paid holiday, along with all the other paid benefits, do away with Labor Day as a paid Federal holiday, and work on cutting the Federal payroll, bring manufacturing and blue collar jobs back to America and strengthen the American Workforce, which was the original purpose of Labor Day.
